Over the unsettling times when the UK had been fractured from the EU, LGBTQ rights had increasingly been threatened and the world came to terms with the COVID pandemic, The Coast is Queer\u00a0 festival was pleased to welcome Festival Krokodil as a defiant rejection of physical and symbolic borders between Brighton and Belgrade, Britain and Europe, the \u2018East\u2019 and the \u2018West\u2019. The panel “Queer Writers form the Post-Yugoslav Region” showcased some of the best queer writing from the post-Yugoslav region and launched a new collaboration between KROKODIL, New Writing South and the University of Brighton.<\/p>\n

The joint project \u201cNeighbors\u201d<\/b> is a platform for literary and cultural communication between Kosovo and Serbia developed by two associations \u2013 Association KROKODIL from Belgrade, Serbia, and <\/span>Qendra Multimedia<\/span><\/a> from Pri\u0161tina, Kosovo. <\/span><\/p>\n

Littfest Vs. KROKODIL<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The cooperation between the most distinctive literary festival in Sweden – Littfest – located in the northernmost city of Umea and Festival KROKODIL from Belgrade, Serbia, initiated in cooperation with the Swedish Institute from Stockholm resulted in the joint project entitled \u201cCenters of Periphery\u201d and the participation of Festival Krokodil at Littfest as well as the return visit and participation of Littfest at Festival KROKODIL in 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n

KROKODIL in Zagreb, Croatia<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

The first time that Festival KROKODIL had a guest appearance in the Croatian capital Zagreb was in June, 2012 in the well known VIP club in the very center of the city. Organized as the first evening of the three day festival event (the other two were executed in Belgrade) we presented a sound selection of regional and international participants and the music<\/span><\/p>\n

KROKODIL joined forces with the pan-European CROWD literary conference and their project, OMNIBUS-READING TOUR, which is co-funded by the Creative Europe EU program. As a part of this program, KROKODIL hosted and presente 16 international authors in Belgrade and Ni\u0161 (Serbia) in June 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n
