Together with world-renowned artist Biljana \u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107, we\u2019ll be presenting a series of prints from her graphic novel, which will also be available for purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Published by Besna kobila, \u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107\u2019s graphic novel is an unconventional critique of capitalism. \u201cInstruments of Activity\u201d speaks about the apathy of man, about his unwillingness to wake up from the newly created world in which he lives in order to produce and feed a systemic Hydra which penetrates all spheres of life, imposing consumerism as the essence of contemporary humans,\u201d explains the artist explains about her newest cycle, which will be presented at the KROKODIL Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn this process, the creator of a product is, at the same time, its consumer, encoded to be a permanent slave to the system in order to remain a part of it. The long-established indoctrination through the media has become the basic means of manipulation which unites all men, regardless of the apparent status.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The launch and opening of the exhibition will be held with the author, designer Borut Vild, and art historian Branislav Dimitrijevi\u0107. The three of them will be discussing creative process behind \u201cInstruments of Activity,\u201d the inspiration for the paintings and Biljana\u2019s work in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Join us on October 29th at 7pm and enjoy the artwork of one of the most important artists from the Balkan region. Prints will be available for purchase for the entire duration of the exhibition, which will end at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The opening will be live-streamed via the Krokodil Engaging Words YouTube channel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
