{"id":16798,"date":"2021-07-07T12:47:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-07T12:47:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.krokodil.rs\/eng\/?p=16798"},"modified":"2022-03-10T16:25:55","modified_gmt":"2022-03-10T16:25:55","slug":"masa-dabic-krokodils-writer-in-residence-in-the-month-of-july","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.krokodil.rs\/eng\/2021\/07\/masa-dabic-krokodils-writer-in-residence-in-the-month-of-july\/","title":{"rendered":"MA\u0160A DABI\u0106 &#8211; KROKODIL&#8217;S WRITER-IN-RESIDENCE IN THE MONTH OF JULY"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>In the month of July KROKODIL\u2019s 102nd Writer-In-Residence will be translator and author Ma\u0161a Dabi\u0107, who came to Belgrade thanks to the Translation in Motion project. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ma\u0161a Dabi\u0107 was born in 1981 in Sarajevo, and she lives and works in Vienna, where she teaches oral translation from Russian into German at the University. So far, she has translated ten novels from the common language into German, by authors such as Svetislav Basara, Barbi Markovi\u0107, Zlatko Pakovi\u0107 and others. In addition, she translates short stories, essays, plays and poetry, and is also engaged in simultaneous translation and journalism. With her debut novel <em>Gubici trenjem<\/em> (Tre\u0107i trg, 2021), she was shortlisted for the Austrian Book Award in 2017. In 2018, she received the City of Vienna Award for the promotion of literature.
