Face masks are mandatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recording of the event will be available at the YT channel @KrokodilEngagingWords<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-black-background-color has-text-color has-background\">On Wednesday, October 13th, starting at 7pm at KROKODIL Center for contemporary literature we will be presenting poetess, actress and playwright Filia Kanellopoulou who is staying at KROKODIL\u2019S Writer-in-residence in October. Moderator will be translator Milena Beri\u0107 who will talk with Filia about the contemporary Greek literature and poetry as well as about Filia\u2019s first poetry collection \u201cTa mesa moy\u201d (Everything inside me).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Filia Kanellopoulou<\/strong>, was born and lives in Athens. She studied Philosophy in Philosophical School of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Acting. She\u2019s working as an actress and drama educator. She\u2019s currently attending the master\u2019s degree: \u201cGreek and World Theater: Drama, Performance, Education\u201d in Theatrical Studies Department of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her first poetry collection \u201cTa mesa moy\u201d (Everything inside me) has been released by \u201cOropedio\u201d publications and in 2020 she was awarded as a debutant poetess (together with poetess Penelopes Zardouka) with Jean Mor\u00e9as prize at International Poetry Festival of Patras. She was also a shortlisted candidate for Hellenic Authors Society for \u201cGiannis Varveris\u201d award and the State Award from Greek Ministry of Culture for debutant author.\u00a0 Many of her poems have been included in anthologies and published in printed or electronic magazines in Greece and abroad. She has written a theatrical play and she\u2019s currently actively writing screenplays. She\u2019s also made a short film based on her screenplay. In 2020 she experimented with spoken-word poetry for first time and at this period she\u2019s working on a new project for spoken-word poetry with the newly formed music-poetic group called \u201cband a ban\u201d which also consists of another poet, a musician and a collaborator in organization and social media management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Filia Kanellopoulou\u2019s stay at KROKODIL\u2019S Writer-in-residence is realized through the project <strong>Ulysses\u2019 Shelter<\/strong>. Literary residences Ulysses\u2019 Shelter take place as part of the second phase of the project of the same name (2019-2022), which is co-financed through the European Comission\u2019s Creative Europe Program \u2013 Culture sub-program. In its second phase, the network of literary residencies includes a total of five countries \u2013 Croatia, Greece, Slovenia, Serbia and the United Kingdom (Wales).
