Ivana Sajko<\/strong> (Zagreb, 1975) is a Croatian playwright. She graduated at the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb, Croatia, at the department of dramaturgy and received her MA at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. She received several awards for dramatic literature including three “Marin Dr\u017ei\u0107” awards for her plays Naran\u010da u oblacima <\/em>(1998), Rebro kao zeleni zidovi <\/em>(2000) and Misa za predizbornu \u0161utnju, mrtvaca iza zida i kopita u grlu <\/em>(2002). She is a member of the editorial of the Frakcija<\/em> magazine. She is one of the founders of the theatre group BAD co, <\/em>where she worked as a dramaturge and director continuing to direct and perform her own texts in hybrid forms and experimenting with the problem of relationship between the dramatic text and onstage performance. Her plays were translated to over ten different languages and are performed at both theatre and radio. Her play Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose <\/em>had it’s premiere at the Sterischer Herbst festival in Graz, Austria in 2008 and her other play Prizori s jabukom <\/em>in the Stadttheater in Bern, Switzerland in 2009. So far she published a collection of dramas Smaknuta lica <\/em>(2001), dramatic trilogy \u017dena – bomba <\/em>(2004), novels Rio bar <\/em>(awarded with Ivan Goran Kova\u010di\u0107 prize for the best work of fiction in 2006) and Povijest moje obitelji <\/em>(2009), as well as the theoretical book Prema ludilu (i revoluciji): \u010ditanje <\/em>(2006).<\/p>\n
