We are happy to announce our fourth meeting<\/strong> and at the same time invite you to join us on Friday January 30th <\/sup>at 4PM CET time\/5PM Ukranian time<\/strong>, again on an online gathering of Ukrainian and Serbian women. Last three meetings were more than a success, and we have no doubt that this one will also be very interesting and fruitful for everyone participating in the event. In previous gatherings, we were privileged to have Kosana, Aida, Nadja, Olga, Dragoslava, Lepa share their experiences, dynamic storytelling and valuable inputs, and we plan to repeat all that yet again in this fourth edition. This time, however, as we approach the marking of the beginning of the aggression against Ukraine, we feel the need to pause, even briefly, and open a space for conversation and exchange perceptions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our dear friend and historian Dragan Popovi\u0107<\/strong> will be joining us to facilitate<\/strong> the meeting and to offer reflections on questions such as – what comes next after the war is over, what kind of future can realistically be expected and how these expectations are shaped, whether and how can justice be perceived and what it means under such circumstances, what are the honest realities without illusions, yet without abandoning core values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dragan Popovi\u0107<\/strong>, PhD (born 1980, Kraljevo) is a historian and long-time human rights activist based in Belgrade. He completed his undergraduate and master\u2019s studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, and earned his PhD from the Department of History at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade, with a dissertation titled \u201cChanges in the Politics of History and Memory Culture in Europe \u2013 The Case of Serbia, 1980\u20131990.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many years, his work has focused on the study of memory culture, politics of history, nationalism, and the history of Yugoslavia, primarily through both research and practical engagement within civil society organizations. He has authored numerous analyses and reports in the fields of human and minority rights, the rule of law, and dealing with the past, and has served as a lecturer at a wide range of schools, seminars, and workshops addressing these issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dragan Popovi\u0107 has published several scholarly articles in both domestic and international academic journals, focusing on the history of Yugoslavia, memory culture, and nationalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
