His work has been translated into English, French, German, Bulgarian, Italian, Romanian, Serbian, Dutch, Greek and Arabic. He published twelve books, including three novels for children. He won literary awards Torrente Ballester, Anagram and Juan marta. He was also one of the finalists for the prestigious literary award Herralde.
