An artist’s task is to create art without competition
Join us on Friday, February 26th at 6pm at the KROKODIL Center on the first event from KROKODIL’s new series “Digital compassion – short conversations about love, robots, paintings and text creation”.
In the first episode, our host Uroš Krčadinac will talk with painter and professor Aleksandar Jevtić, whose sketches of miniature symbols adorably resemble alphabets. Acquaint yourself with the fields of visual languages, asemic writing and vector painting, talk with us about digital diaries, teaching and exploring and help us discover why it is important for an artist of today to spend some time working as a garbage man in a dump.
In “Digital compassion – short conversations about love, robots, paintings and text creation”, KROKODIL Center’s newest monthly program, you are embarking on an odyssey through the waters of new media and technologies, while sketching a unique map of no man’s lands on the borders of digital, textual and visual, geo-polemic, techno-polemic and constant contemplation about how to orient yourself within them. Digital artist, technologist, author and educator, Uroš Krčadinac together with interesting guests will guide us through these and many other aspects and dilemmas of the 21st century.
In a life spent between screens, where is the space for digital compassion? We are discovering at least part of the answer to this complex question on Friday, February 26th at 6pm at the KROKODIL Center.
See you there!
