COMMON LIBRARY

COMMON LIBRARY

KROKODIL’s project, “Common library“ aims to raise public awareness about the significant issue of language abuse for political purposes. The goal is to find the best means to influence political structures to implement the necessary changes in legislation, which would recognize that the four “political languages” spoken in the region are actually just four equal variants of a common, albeit unnamed, polycentric language.

AUTHORS OF THE COMMON LIBRARY

The edition “Common library” consists of texts by writers and authors who have been writing or are writing in a common language, regardless of whether it is called Serbian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, or Croatian. Their work has created a shared treasury of literary works that addresses current topics of today, without linguistic difficulties or the need for translation.

Presented here are nine biographies of these writers, who have left a significant mark on our literary scene.
