30 Apr Happy Birthday Mohammed!
Mohammed turned ten years old on Friday. Together with his parents, brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts, grandmother and grandfather, he escaped to our country from the hell of Gaza with the help of us from KROKODIL as well as a few other big-hearted people. Thanks to the support of citizens from Serbia and from many other countries who generously donate funds, this family has been living here in Serbia for several months. We surprised Mohammed with a cake with the image of Sonic, his favorite hero, and a gift that he secretly wanted – a new scooter. At the small celebration that we organized for him, in cooperation with AK Running, in the premises of the KROKODIL Center, it was both joyful and touching at the same time, and our hearts were truly full. In such moments we know that everything we do has meaning. The real meaning of life, which is made up of love and empathy. Something that we want to believe represents humanity itself.
At the same time, we also organized a pre-marathon pasta party for our runners who ran their races at the Belgrade Marathon on Sunday and thus ended another humanitarian action to collect aid for Palestinian families in Serbia.
