Olga Kavran is a new member of KROKODIL’s Steering Board! Welcome, Olga! After so many years of collaboration, expertise sharing, and friendship, we are very happy to upgrade our relationship and more than happy to have you onboard!

On Friday, November 14, 2025, the regular assembly of the KROKODIL Association was held at the KROKODIL Center with the following agenda: appointment of new members of the Steering Board of the Association.

After a short discussion based on Article 9 of the Statute of the KROKODIL Association, the Assembly of the Association adopted by public vote the decision to appoint new members of the Board with a term of four years. The New Steering Board consists of: Vladimir Arsenijević, Olga Kavran, Igor Štiks, Dubravka Stojanović, Boris Buden, Milena Berić and Olga Manojlović Pintar.

Olga Kavran is the Founding Director of IUSTICOM, the first NGO dedicated to assisting accountability mechanisms in communicating with their diverse stakeholders, including victims and affected communities, civil society, donors, states, intergovernmental organizations, and the general public. She is also a Fellow at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium completing a PhD on the topic of international criminal courts’ obligation to provide information to the public.

She has over 25 years of experience in international criminal justice – as translator, Outreach Deputy Coordinator and Spokesperson for the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (1997-2010) and as the Head of Outreach and Legacy at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (2010-2020). Ms Kavran also has extensive teaching experience at the American University of Beirut, as well as several other universities in Lebanon, the former Yugoslavia, the United States and the United Kingdom and has published extensively on international criminal courts and proceedings. In the 1990s, she was a prominent peace activist and one of the organizers of student protests in Belgrade.
