Promoting “ABC of War” and Panel on the Suffering of Children in Ukraine at the KROKODIL Center

Last Wednesday, on the 29th of October, we hosted Ukrainian writer Eugene Stepanenko, author of the book “ABC of War,” and engaged in conversations with Mišo Nejašmić, Kristijan Lepešić, and Simon Goldstein from the Institute for Democracy in Zagreb, as well as Vladimir Arsenijević from the KROKODIL Center.

The event began with the presentation of Eugene’s book, which was created from letters exchanged with his daughter Solomia during his absence at the front in Donbas.

Then, Simon introduced us to a panel on the suffering of children in Ukraine — officially, at least ten thousand minors have been abducted or kidnapped during the Russian invasion, and any information about them is still awaited.

It was a very emotional evening, focused on discussing the horrors of war crimes, concluded on a positive note — each of us can contribute by raising awareness within our circles about the immense suffering endured by children in Ukraine.
